Animating for the ABC documentary “The Show Must Go On: The Queen and Adam Lambert Story”
Oh, this… This was a WHIRLWIND.
The brief appeared in my inbox whilst I was living in Spain with dad last year, I had two weeks to complete a loco amount of work. Long, hard days were spent on this project; but it was by far the most rewarding.
To work closely with director Simon Lupton was fantastic; and is an experience I’d be happy to re-live again and again.
I was given creative freedom with each aspect of the animation/motion gfx, and each idea was either confirmed or built on until both parties were content with the concept.
To see the documentary aired on Sky (after a premiere on ABC in America) was a magical moment in my life; a testament to the reward in hard work and commitment.
I didn’t think I’d have the opportunity to work on a project of this scale so early in my freelancing career; but this leads me to provide readers with some important advice: People will believe in you, if you first believe in yourself.
