“The New Man and Me” Documentary BTS

Well, hello there!

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Jake: son of Neale.

Last year, I was fortunate enough to spend most of winter out in Spain with my dad; he was given part-time work at BSC (British Ski Center) and I was at the tail-end of my first year as a freelance animator.

We had an absolutely phenomenal time, and decided to do it again this year… only, with one crucial difference: this time we’d film it.

So it’s Feb 17th as I’m writing this, dad’s now a full-time employee of BSC, I’m still a freelance animator (so that’s a good sign), and I’ve been editing a month’s worth of documentary footage intermittently since arriving.

It’s stimulating living out here again; embracing a truly wholesome way of life, with a much slower pace, allowing us to reflect and bask in the intricate details of life. Well, dad’s up on the mountain every day, but I assume he feels the same.

This is only a short post, as I have lots of other website sections to complete for now - I’ll be posting photos/videos/writing/doc excerpts over the coming months, so watch this space!
